The inner armour to consist of 16 So. 14 8.V.G.

wires surrounded with jute yarn,

The outer armour of 16 No. 4 8.1.0, wires with

two reverse final servings of hemp treated with a

preservative compound,

The cable shall be tested during manufsɔture

at the maker's Works and expeise, and shall comply

with the requirments of this Specification.

Pieces of the lead sheath will be expanded

to double its diameter to ascertain that it is of

proper ductility and purity. when thus expanded

there must be a complete abamige of cracks or

flaws.
